Why has DreamApply returned to Vietnam? Learn about our efforts to help institutions in Asia grow.

Aug 14, 2025 | EdTech, Vietnam

Last year, DreamApply embarked on an exciting journey to Vietnam, joining an Estonian delegation to connect with educational institutions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Numerous productive meetings took place with institutions like Saigon Business School who is now our first partner in Vietnam, Dai Nam University, Phenikaa University, Vietnam Japan University, and Hoa Sen University. Our aim then, as it is now, was to explore how we can help Vietnamese universities streamline their admissions and boost student enrollment.

We learned a lot from that initial visit in October-November 2024. Being part of the Estonian delegation significantly enhanced brand trust and awareness. We saw firsthand the potential for growth and the specific challenges faced by institutions here. The key takeaway? A one-time visit isn’t enough. True partnership requires continuous commitment.

Why has DreamApply returned to Vietnam? Learn about our efforts to help institutions in Asia grow.

On June 5, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Estonia with a high-level delegation. Our co-founder Märt Aro and international development manager Trang Nguyen, Ph.D. joined the Vietnam–Estonia Business Forum in Tallinn.

Following these encounters, we returned to Vietnam this August 2025 with our Head of Marketing, Marko Delic, who is taking the next steps. With 9 years of experience in educational administration, including three years of running admissions in Asia, he brings a unique perspective and genuine dedication to fostering relationships here.

As he puts it, “I’m not just here for meetings; I’m here to understand, to learn, and to build lasting partnerships.” You might even catch him enjoying a durian or a banh mi on the street, as he’s truly embracing the local culture!

Why do we place focus on Vietnam?

We are currently exploring partnerships with institutions across Asia. We have clients in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Japan already, but we also have an education expert on our team who is from Vietnam. Dr. Trang Nguyen brings a wealth of experience in teaching and administration in institutions in Asia and Taiwan, and is an advocate for digital transformation in education in Vietnam.

We focus more of our physical efforts in Vietnam due to the personal ties, but we believe that this is one step into taking more trips to more countries in Asia.

Our return signifies more than just another trip; it’s a reinforced commitment to the Vietnamese and broader Asian markets (including Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan). We believe that educational institutions can achieve remarkable growth without the overwhelming effort often associated with admissions management. Our software is proven to help institutions see, on average:

  • 40% reduction in the time spent managing applications
  • 50% rise in international student applications

What does “grow with less effort” mean?

We have a personalized slogan for this trip, “It’s time to grow with less effort. Together.” It means automating tedious tasks, centralizing your data in an easy-to-use dashboard, and leveraging smart tools for communication and lead generation. It means your admissions team can focus on strategic initiatives and student engagement, rather than manual paperwork, ultimately improving their well-being.

Most importantly, we focus on the “together” part, as we have done so for the last 15 years. Our software was not a product of a few people’s ideas and desires, but a result of discussions and continuous improvements done in collaboration with educational institutions worldwide.

For example, our two-way messaging feature keeps all communication organized and reduces response times. We also offer robust integration capabilities to seamlessly connect with your existing systems.

This time, we’re doubling down on understanding your specific needs. While Marko is in Vietnam, he invites you to share your biggest admissions pain points through a simple form, to provide you with a personalized evaluation outlining tailored suggestions for your institution. This is our commitment to helping you grow by learning directly from your challenges, and guiding you towards practical implementation.

We’re not just offering software; we’re offering a partnership. A partnership dedicated to helping you achieve your enrollment goals efficiently and effectively.

We are incredibly excited to be back and look forward to building even stronger connections within Vietnam’s dynamic education sector.

Stay tuned for more updates from our journey in Vietnam!
