How DreamApply helped Edunation work better on application processing

Oct 4, 2019 | Case studies

Edunation was established in 2017, it aims to change the education scene in Finland completely. Its first goal is to enroll 150 000 full degree students from non-EU/EEA countries in Finnish higher education by 2025. They want to allow students around the world to experience high-quality Finnish education. Edunation helps students find their way into the world-renowned Finnish higher education. They aim to help international students with their application process and answer all questions they might have about living and studying in Finland. Through Edunation, students can enroll in complete degree programs and participate in summer schools and exchange programs provided by Finnish universities.

How were things done before DreamApply?
Before we launched and implemented DreamApply, students applied directly on our “apply now” button, directing the student to our Jotform form online; applications were received via our e-mail system. We noticed the number of applications, and inquiries, among others, were increasing, so we decided we needed an application management system that is easier to use but more efficient.

Why did you decide to use DreamApply as your application management system?
As our needs for filing and processing of applications became more diverse and complex, and student applications continuously increased, we decided to tweak the system and incorporate a great functionality and feature that can merge our needs and online resources.

How has DreamApply helped your application management?
DreamApply is a unique management system feature for our students’ applications. Its user-friendly functionality and accessible navigation features help our students with their applications. We also need to diversify our online resources and the new application system where everybody (agents and students) will have an easier time following the status of their study in Finland application.

DreamApply results on usability and CRM support?
By implementing DreamApply, we have managed to work better on application processing. DreamApply helped us by providing a global search tool for our agents and students’ programs. Students will apply through the system, browse through different programs, check the status of their application, and submit missing documents. A simple yet perfect online tool!

Where do all the applicants go?

Can you guess how many applications it takes to find a new student? The short answer seems to be 5, if your admission tools can only count submitted applications. Or maybe 10 if you have a deeper view into the process. Before we examine why this is the case, a brief...
